This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the politics of the European Union. It covers the EU’s institutional architecture, legislative decision-making processes, and key policy areas. Students explore topics including the role of the Council of Ministers, the European Parliament, and the European Commission, as well as debates on democratic accountability, transparency, and the future of European integration.
The course is taught at both undergraduate and graduate levels at the School of Politics and International Relations (SPIRe), University College Dublin.
